Which are the good pubs/clubs to spend a saturday night in singapore?

I am new to singapore, and therefore have no idea about the night life here. Instead of discovering everything by (the expensive method of) trial and error, it would be nice if any of you could give me tips.p.s. I am not an “ang moh” with usd/euro to spend, so i’m looking at reasonable places, not mentioned in the travel guides…

I don’t club, but I guess the more happening area for nightlife hangout is at Clarke Quay.

Well, a few of those popular clubs in Singapore would be Zouk and Saint James Power Station if I’m not wrong.

I used to work in Singapore for awhile (1 1/2 years ago)…
If you’re a young dude –
Zouk, MOS & St.James is the most famous places at that time..entrance s$20 with a drink & $15/drink her onwards.. music & crowd is good…
If you’re a more of a matured kind –
Safer bet would be Clark Quey, they have plenty of Restaurants, Pubs, Bars & Clubs in one strip to choose from.. at any age you will find a place to peep in to..except for the the Clubs all bars entry would be free & would cost about s$10-15/drink. for the clubs there is a entry fee.
If you’re young & wanna get really drunk with your buddies try double O at mohd sultan road, entrance s$20 includes a drink & there after $3/drink or s$18/jug.. fantastic deal to get sloshed for some goods house music & meet some crazy young strangers.
