Why is it so secret for Marriott Vacation Club?

Does anyone have any experience on Marriott Vacation Club? which I have to take a tour that will last about ninety minutes followed by an aggressive sales pitch. You cannot come back on next week for today’s offer, and the promotion is not published publicly. Once you leave without joining them, you cannot join them again within the next 12 months. During the presentation, you receive only a brief introduction about Hotel facility if you don’t know how to ask the right question, and they mention nothing about the risk and responsibility. Their package cost US 65,000 or 32,000 for the life time member, and you only get 10 – 20 minutes to make such decision whether to join it or miss it. Once you leave this room, you cannot receive this offer again within next 12 months.
Does anyone know why they sell like that? they don’t give much time for consumer to think.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

This is how they typically sell timeshares everywhere. The big difference is the price. Sales people are trained to overcome objections quickly to get a sale of tens of thousands within 2 hours.

Never buy a time share! It’s the armpit of the (otherwise wonderful) hospitality industry.

You’d be far better off just renting a vacation home in your desired destination.

Marriott is not the only company that sells time shares in this manner. It is a dark, ugly, vile part of an otherwise sunny world!

its a scam the salespeople run……you can take all the time you want…they are trying to create a sense of urgency
